Access to legal advice for disabled people – 2023/24 grant round now open

This is a new grants programme to increase capacity for legal advice and advocacy for disabled people on benefits and debt, housing and homelessness, community care, personal liberty and equal access to goods and services.

We have earmarked £1.5 million for this grant round. The maximum annual grant will be £50,000 a year. Grants can run for 1-3 years. There are no restrictions on what the grant can be used for provided the funding furthers access to justice for disabled people.

Grants will be awarded by a panel of 10-12 people people with lived experience of disability and learned experience of legal advice. The panel will also help us shape the direction of this programme.
